WAVERING?????

SOAP work for today James 1:6-7. Wavering in faith???? Questioning God is wavering, not expecting answers is wavering, not believing God is the most powerful is wavering. If you are wavering will you receive Gods true blessings............NO. I am a wavering person and I prayed that God will take my wavering thoughts away from me. So many times in the bible God Blessings go to his true believer/followers and I want to have the faith that they have shown.

ENDURANCE

Today I continued my study in the book of James. I read James 1:3-4, it was totally talking about endurance.

What is the definition of Endurance?

Endurance is the act, quality, or power of withstanding hardship or stress. The state or fact of persevering. Continuing existence; duration.

It is so easy to just give up when times get hard. To get lost in the internet world or TV. Our real focus in those time and all others should be GOD. If we just prayer and believed that GOD has a purpose for everything. I am not saying I believe GOD sends us bad stuff to deal with but I am saying I think GOD is there dealing with them with US. It is like that poem Footprints by Mary Stevenson. I saw that poem as a young girl and it is always something I try to keep in my mind.

So how do you endure your struggles?

Today I started my James study with my Good Morning Girls. I am using the S.O.A.P. method for the very first time in my life.

S: Scripture-Write the ONE scripture that I feel God is using to speak to me in today’s reading

O: Observation-What might He be telling me with that scripture?

A: Application-How can I apply it to my life?

P: Prayer-What is my prayer to ask God in helping me to make that application?

I have always read my bible but I just love the way this method gets you to REALLY apply what you have read. I have also never wrote down my thoughts after reading. I am loving that I will have something that I can go back to read. I love scrapbooking but haven't done it in forever so I used this opportunity to make a cute book to record everything in.
